Political Prisoner Committee

The MDSO is a member organization of the Northeast Political Prisoner Coalition (NEPPC).

The NEPPC is an organization comprised of activists, former Political Prisoners/Prisoners of War and members of organizations dedicated to freeing Political Prisoners.

NEPPC intends to bring additional resources and expertise to supporting the struggles of individual Political Prisoners while exposing the illegal machinations of an unjust system.

WHAT IS A POLITICAL PRISONER?
A person held in confinement because of their support of, or identity with, a people struggling for freedom from an oppressive government or against its oppressive policies.

WHAT IS A PRISONER OF WAR?
A national combatant of an oppressed nation held in confinement by the oppressor nation because of their support of, or identity with, the oppressed nation’s war for self-determination, independence or national liberation from the oppressor nation.
